Roll with the Punches
Despite all of the attacks the left have been throwing daily at the President and his team, they aren't working. All of the attempts to cast the President in a bad light by linking him to every disgruntled ex-employee and every bad thing that happens in the free world be the fault of the big bad President Bush, polls continue to show that if the election were held today the President would win again!
Go Joe!
It is so refreshing to see a liberal with morals and values, some one who gets it. They are intellectually honest and know what the truth is. Joe Lieberman Democrat of Conneticutt is that kind of guy. He is very thoughtful and intellectually honest in his liberalism. I salute him in not jumping into the Bush-Hater frenzy of the day in calling for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld to resign. Joe wants ALL The Facts first before jumping to a conclusion. By the way the latest Gallup Poll show 2/3rds of Americans support Secretary Rumsfeld continuing in a time of war.
May be the real question we should be asking is who in the media broke the law and illegally obtained and published photo's from and on going criminal and military investigating. We need to find who at the New York Times and CBS was responsible and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Don't want to say I told you so, BUT!
On a past very long discussion on another Blog a couple of my friends made the point that John Kerry had been and admitted to War Crimes in Vietnam. Many involved in that discussion blew us off as wrong and giving misinformation. Well it was very refreshing to see Tim Russert (a very well known liberal, but intellectually honest liberal) pull out the tape of John Kerry's 1971 "Meet the Press" appearance on this past Sunday's MTP appearance by Mr. Kerry. So to those of you who insisted it was Bob Kerrey (the current Clinton protector along with Jamie Gorelick and Mr. Ben-Veniste's on the Get President Bush Panel, uh I mean the 9/11 Panel) it was clearly John Kerry who admitted to committing War Crimes.
On a related matter we all have seen the arrogance and I am better than the rest of you attitude that just oozes from the Senator. But it was sickening to see his reaction to the tape. He laughed and made jokes about the color of his hair then! Smiling and laughing about the loss of life and the atrocities that he has, in his own words, he admitted to committing. Those of who I have discussion with who are committed Christians who say the are supporting Mr. Kerry (how that lines up with biblical teaching I have yet to find) say that his social policies and his social caring is the main reason for their support of him. I then pose this question if Jesus himself would have been in the seat across form Mr. Russert Sunday, would He have smiled and laughed about the hair color and the loss of life that had just been admitted to? Where is that social caring that Mr. Kerry is so supposed to be driven by. Is this a man who we want leading our country a man who has admitted to killing and torturing innocent men, women and children.
Also on that same MTP his commanding officer in Vietnam questioned the validity of his Purple Hearts awarded to him? Where they concocted stories for a future presidential run? These are the questions we need to be asking.
What did Mr. Kerry do? And , How did he do it? And Did he actually earn his medals? And who were involved in the fabrications?

America Hated It? II
I find a unique paradox or maybe a "I like my cake but want to eat it to" morality in the whole "Why does everyone hate America and American's "debate on-line. It seems like many like having it "both ways".
Many of the participants have been spouting and stating their negative views of America and American's, our willingness to work hard and be prosperous. Many of which live here and are taking advantage of much of the luxuries and advantages of American life. Some even use there success to take excursion's into the world of missions and helping others less fortunate, this is very noble and what I believe Christ would want and command us to do. But at the same time these same people wish to downgrade and demonize the same advantages and way of life they enjoy living here in America that allows them and many of us to take the message of Christ and reach out to those who are not blessed as we are in America. Unbelievable!
Maybe we as people blessed by God to be living here in America should be more thankful that God choose to put us here and not somewhere else, and that he blessed us as people and a country to be able to help those oppressed. Maybe this should be our prayer "God thank you for putting me here and help us to take what you have blessed me and our country with and show us were to help others".

America...Hated It?
In a recent on going online discussion on another website the allegation was made and I paraphrase that most of the world hates us. Others made the valid point that why does everyone want to come her and live and make a better life for themselves? Others did not believe this to be true.
Well in keeping with the spirit of the NCAA Championship that will air tonight on CBS at 9pm (EST), here is a some thoughts on being blessed to live in America from Connecticut's star center and Nigerian immigrant Emeka Okafor in the Chicago Sun Times:
"Such single-minded determination comes as no surprise to anyone who knows that those traits are gifts from his parents. His father, Pius, is a Nigerian immigrant who enlisted at age 17 to fight in that country's civil war so he could eat, since there was no food in the refugee camp his father's family called home for 30 months.
''Knowing that my dad's high school education was interrupted by a civil war and they weren't sure whether they were going to eat the next day, much less graduate,'' Okafor said, ''and here I am in the United States wondering what I'm going to get for Christmas. ... It has given me a perspective on everything.''
After the war ended, Pius moved to the United States. He eventually settled in Houston, where he pumped gas at night so he could go to school and earn a degree, which would be followed by masters in business and accounting. He currently is working on a doctorate in pharmacy.
Okafor's mother, Celestina, is a nurse. So, education was impressed upon honors student Emeka at an early age -- so much so that he once cried after receiving a ''B'' on his fourth-grade report card. He will graduate from Connecticut with a finance degree in May, one year early. And he has been active in community work.
''Emeka Okafor is a brilliant person,'' Calhoun said. ''If Emeka Okafor ends up being a senator from Texas, it's not going to be a surprise to me. If he ends up being a CEO or CFO of a company, it's not going to surprise me. If he ends up being an all-star forward along the lines of Alonzo Mourning, it's not going to surprise me."
Those who are blessed and no what it is like elsewhere no the truth!
